Additional Ways to Give

Stock or Other Securities Gift
Make a tax-deductible contribution using appreciated stock. Giving securities may allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while supporting the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church (HSEC).

IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are age 70½ or older, you may make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA—up to $100,000 per year—to HSEC or other charities of your choice. The gift does not count as taxable income and satisfies the required minimum distribution.

HSEC In Your Will

Work with your legal counsel to include HSEC as a beneficiary of your estate. Suggested language:

“I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation with the present address of PO Box 197, Mineral Point, WI 53565, and its successors, the sum of $___ and/or ___ percent of my estate, to be used in such manner as determined by its trustees.”

Life Insurance Gift
Consult your insurance agent about naming HSEC as a beneficiary, donating an existing policy you no longer need, or purchasing a new policy to benefit the Historical Society.

Income For Life Gifts
Through Charitable Gift Annuities or Charitable Remainder Trusts, you may transfer capital to HSEC and retain income for your lifetime or that of another person. Consult your financial advisor for details.

Donor Advised Fund
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple and flexible way to manage charitable giving. Work with your financial advisor to recommend grants from your DAF to support the work of HSEC and build a lasting legacy.
