The Board of Directors of the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church oversees the management of the Society's activities. All elected directors must be members of the Society as well as adult members in good standing of the Episcopal Church or other church of the Anglican Communion. Elections take place during the Society's annual meeting.
The Board oversees the activities of the Society, with an Executive Committee managing the operations. The Society is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization recognized by the IRS and is charitable corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Executive Committee is composed of the Officers of the Society, the Historiographer of the Episcopal Church, the Editor of the Society's journal, and such committee heads as designated by the President.
Two organizational representatives serve ex-officio, with vote.
